£65,000–£70,000 + bonus

Take the lead on projects, influence how the team works and stay close to the engineering.

You’ll shape electrical design from the first survey through to construction and handover, with direct client contact and regular site involvement. That gives you a clear view of how your decisions affect cost, installation and the people using the building.

Healthcare makes up the bulk of the work, alongside commercial offices, education, defence, leisure and retail. Most projects involve existing, operational buildings, where space, access and keeping services running demand experienced judgement rather than standard solutions.

Repeat business and healthcare frameworks provide continuity. You’ll get to know clients and their buildings over time, becoming someone they turn to for advice on future projects.

You’ll also guide engineers, review designs and help colleagues take on greater responsibility. There’s scope to improve how the team uses Amtech, BIM and Revit, giving you influence over design quality and delivery beyond your own projects.

Recent promotions into Associate and Associate Director positions demonstrate that progression happens here, if broader leadership is where you want to go next.

What you’ll bring

Electrical building services consultancy experience, with evidence of leading projects, managing client relationships and supporting other engineers. You’ll be comfortable making and explaining technical decisions, particularly in existing buildings. Amtech experience is important; familiarity with BIM and Revit would be useful.
