About the Role

Senior Mechanical Engineer – London

Pension | Bonuses | Hybrid | Flexitime | £55,000 - £70,000

You join a consultancy delivering buildings that genuinely impact communities across the UK and beyond. You’re trusted early, given real responsibility, and have a clear progression plan so you know exactly what you’re working towards.

That clarity removes the usual frustration. No second-guessing your next move or waiting to be recognised. You get proper project exposure, access to decision-makers, and a chance to influence outcomes rather than just follow instructions.

Your week has structure but not rigidity. You’re in the office when it matters, but flexitime, paid overtime or time in lieu, and additional life balance days mean work doesn’t constantly eat into your personal time. It’s a setup built for consistency, not burnout.

Over time, the progression is clear. More responsibility, stronger client relationships, leadership opportunities, and increasing annual leave as you grow with the business. Add in pay reviews, bonuses, and Chartership support, and you’re building something long term. You’ll also be part of a team that celebrates success together, with regular socials and company-funded trips away.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and deliver full mechanical designs across a range of projects
  • Take ownership of quality, programme, and commercial delivery
  • Work closely with clients, attending meetings and site visits
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative team culture

What you’ll need

  • Mechanical Engineering degree (Chartership desirable)
  • Strong building services design experience at Senior level, or ready to step up
  • Solid understanding of HVAC systems, heating and cooling design, ventilation, and public health systems
  • Familiar with design software such as Hevacomp, IES, or similar (BIM/Revit experience beneficial)

The company

Over 100+ staff across the UK and overseas. Known for delivering technically challenging, sustainable projects while maintaining a genuinely supportive and flexible culture. A business that trusts its engineers, rewards performance, and gives people the platform to progress without unnecessary barriers.
